Richard Milhous Nixon is a very interesting president. He was president for 5 years and 201 days. Nixon was our 37th president. He was elected president twice in a row and was the first president to resign in 1974. Nixon was known for his short temper.

Richard M. Nixon was born on January 9, 1913 in Yorba Linda, California. When he was seven, his brother died and young Nixon tried to make up the loss to his parents by becoming successful. Every day, Nixon washed produce for the family business, Nixon’s Market. Nixon attended Duke Law School and Wittier High School.

Richard Nixon was important in many ways. He stopped the Vietnam War, went to China and Russia, and was in many T.V. debates.

Nixon did many jobs before he was presidents. He was a lawyer, an officer in the U.S. navy, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, and many more. Sadly, Nixon died on April 22, 1994 in New York.

Nixon met Elvis Presley in the White House and during his presidency he visited all 50 states. Isn’t Nixon the most interesting president?
